Ethel Scyphers
SCYPHERS, Ethel Mae Age 69 of Trenton passed away in Ft. Hamilton Hospital
on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at 5:36 PM. She was born in Bristol, Virginia on
February 17, 1936 the daughter of King and Della Mae (Hall) Worley.
Ethel was a member of Freedom House. On August 20, 1951 in Greendale,
Virginia she was married to Earl Scyphers, and he preceded her in death in
1998.
She is survived by one son, Bob Scyphers of Trenton; one daughter, Betty
(Jerry) Combs of Somerville; two brothers, James (Shirley) Worley of Glade
Springs, Virginia and Calvin (Mary) Worley of Chelhowie, Virginia; one
sister, Mary Evelyn Worley of Saltville, Viriginia; two granddaughters,
Jennifer (Ben) Brunner of Middletown and Traci (Jeff) Collins of Oxford; and
three great-grandchildren, Taylor Collins, Kyle Lykins, and Madison Brunner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Annis Marie Terry
and Leona Townsend.
Funeral Services will be held at the Freedom House, 5346 Hamilton-Trenton
Road, on Friday, February 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Larry Fultz,
Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation
will be held at the church on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
