Obituary - Flora (Cunningham) Bott
Flora Clendenen Cunningham Bott, age 99, went to be with the Lord on
Friday, July 6, 2012, surrounded by her family.
She was born August 31, 1912, in Washington County, where
she lived her entire life. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Ida
Hutton Cunningham. Mrs. Bott will be remembered by her family and friends
for her wonderful quilting and great cooking. She was a longtime member of
Riverside Baptist Church and a present member of Friendship Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie
David Bott; brothers, Henry, Warren, Ray and Wiley Cunningham; sisters,
Lucille McCroskey, Ruth Walker, Nell Payne and Rita Miller and son-in-law,
Harold Morrison.
Surviving are her children, Donald Bott and wife, Eunice of
Glade Spring and Doris Morrison of Bristol, VA; brother, James Cunningham of
Bristol, VA; sister, Ollie Fraley of Abingdon; grandchildren, Donnie Bott,
Tracy Bott and wife, Tena, Phoebe Heath and husband, Eddie, Karen Morrison
and David Morrison and wife, Lynn; great grandchildren, Dustin and Dillon
Bott, Daniel and Canaan Heath, Ryan Morrison, Derrik Pensinger, Jade Bott
and Jacob Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 9,
2012, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Jones officiating.
Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be
Eddie Heath, Tracy Bott, Derrik Pensinger, Daniel Heath, Canaan Heath and
Jimmy Fraley. Her great grandsons, Dustin, Dillon and Ryan will serve as
honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home.
The family will be gathering at her residence, 16196
Providence Road in Abingdon where friends may visit at anytime.
