Georgia Pearl Snyder, 84, died Wednesday July 18, 2012 at West Bend Nursing
and Rehabilitation.
Pearl was born in Oolitic, IN on August 28, 1927 to Harvey Alton and Cecil
(Miller) Harris. On January 1, 1946, she married August C. Snyder, who
preceded her in death in 1986.
Pearl was a former Mishawaka resident, a homemaker and former member of the
First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her grandson, Kent E. (Kim) Snyder of Elkhart;
great-grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Miltenberger of Mishawaka, Courtney
Duerksen of Mishawaka, Brian Duerksen of Mishawaka, Noel Snyder of Nappanee,
Andrew Snyder of Elkhart, Nicholas Snyder of Elkhart and her brother, Walter
Harris of South Bend. In addition to her husband, Pearl was preceded in
death by her son, Donald Snyder in 2006; granddaughter, Kimlee Duerksen in
2011 and great-granddaughter, April Duerksen in 1993. She was also preceded
by her brother, Eugene Harris and sister, Helen Bridgewater.
Private family services arranged through Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776
McKinley Highway. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family’s
preferred memorial is the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders
Association - Indiana Chapter, 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis,
IN 46240.
