BURLINGTON- Mrs. Helen Rich Clapp, 87, formerly of 4534 Ashe Drive, Burlington, died Friday, July 13, 2007, at Alamance Health Care Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2007 at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. James D. Lockley. The family will receive friends after the graveside service.

A native of Shawnee, Okalahoma, she was the wife of the late Roscoe Fuller Clapp and the daughter of the late Charles "Charlie" Rich and the late Maude Agusta Nell Rich.

She retired from Sellars Department Store in Burlington as a buyer. She was a member of Alamance Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son Milton F. Clapp and his wife Mildred, of Burlington; and her granddaughter, Carmon V. Clapp of Wake Forest.

She was preceded in death by Eugene Rich, Fred Rich, Leveene Kinney, Lila James, Eunice Henley and Vivian Reed.
