Homer Lee Watson
GUYMON, OKLA. - Homer Lee Watson, 91, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery with Stacy
Ross, pastor of Northridge Free Will Baptist Church, officiating.
Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home.
Mr. Watson worked in the oil field industry as a workover rig operator
foreman with Gibbins-Slentz, which later became SAM's Well Servicing,
retiring in 1982. He was married to Hazel Ione Crisp Watson for more than 69
years.
Survivors include four children, Jim Watson of Norman, Mary Andis of
Wheeler, Texas, Linda Bridges of Stillwater and Joe Watson of Guymon; 10
grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a
sister, Grace Raines of Muskogee.
The family suggests memorials be to Northridge Christian School and will be
accepted at Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
Homer Lee Watson, 91, of Guymon, passed away at Memorial Hospital of Texas
County in Guymon. He was born in Fame, Oklahoma to James Martin and Rosa
(McFarland) Watson. On Sept. 11, 1935, he united in marriage to Hazel Ione
Crisp, and they moved from Duncan, Ok to Guymon, Ok in 1955. Homer worked in
the oilfield industry as a workover rig operator foreman with
Gibbons-Slentz, which later became SAM's Well Servicing, retiring in 1982.
He was a charter member of the Northridge Free Will Baptist Church. He is
preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Hazel Watson, on Feb. 18,
2005, as well as his parents, numerous brothers and sisters;
great-granddaughter, Bailey Seymour; and great-grandson, Chase Alan
Watson. Survivors include two sons and two daughters, ten grandchildren, and
two great-great grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted Friday,
October 14 at 10 a.m.
He is buried with his wife, Hazel, in the section between 700 St. & 800 St.
and between D St. & E St.
