Obituary - James Ansell Sproles
CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA - James "Jim" Ansell Sproles, 71, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at his home.
He was born on January 8, 1936 in Dante, Virginia; son of the late Ival J. and Gladys P. Cline Sproles. He was employed by Clinchfield Coal Company for 42 years, retiring as a Design Engineer. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie E. Sproles.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Y. (Cook) Sproles; three sons, James (Mark) Sproles, Gary (Chris) Sproles, and Gregory Van Sproles; four brothers, Max Sproles, Randall Sproles, Jerry Sproles, and Bruce Sproles; two sisters, Annette Warden and Judy Vencill; four grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two foster great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for James "Jim" Ansell Sproles will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2007 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. John A. Kiser officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2007 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
