Janet Lea (Fielder) Bennett, age 61 of Hillsboro and formerly of Crawfordsville passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at home while surrounded by her loving family.

Janet was born in Indianapolis on May 23, 1956 to the late Owen L & Wilma R (Cleveland) Fielder. She graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1974 and was a Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) at The Lane House in Crawfordsville for 30 years.  

Janet was a strong, inspirational woman that enjoyed gardening, baking, camping, painting, taking walks, watching her grandson play baseball, loved the Christmas holiday and spending time with her family and was a member of the Sugar Creek Squares.  

She is survived by her son, Jeremy (Brandy) Bennett of Crawfordsville; twin daughters, Sherrie (Byran Howell) Bennett of Arizona and Carrie Bennett of New York; a grandson, Owen Bennett; four brothers, Larry (Kris) Cleveland of Indianapolis, Billy (Amy) Fielder of Florida, John (Angie) Fielder of Veedersburg, and Jeff (Toni) Fielder of Tennessee; two sisters, Becki Mayo of Tennessee and  Tammy (Jim) Anderson of Indianapolis; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her two cats, Izzy and Charlie.  

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care followed by a 5 p.m. service with Pastor Keith Jones officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation (TNBC) PO Box 204, Norwood, NJ 07648 or METAvivor, 1783 Forest Drive #184, Annapolis, MD 21401.
