Jerry E. Secor, 64 years, of Oswego, IL died Saturday, June 21, 2003 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL.

 He was born February 22, 1939 in Aurora, IL the son of the late Edward and Marjorie nee Hibbard Secor. Jerry graduated from Oswego High School. He became the proprietor of the Shell Gas Station in Oswego, then went on to be the used equipment sales manager for Patton Industries for several years and for a time he owned his own material handling equipment company. Most recently and just prior to his recent retirement he served as the general manager of JD's Saloon in Seneca, IL. He was a member of the N.R.A., the Tiger Club and he served on the Executive Committee and was a former President of Chapter #17 Muskies, Inc. He was an avid perfectionist fisherman who relished his annual fishing trip to Mudge's Resort in Mine Center Springs, Ont. with his buddies for over 30 years. During one of those trips while landing a large trophy musky he was photographed and that photo appeared on the cover of Muskies, Inc. Magazine.

 He is survived by his wife, J. Maureen nee Detzler Secor; two sons, Steven King (Diana) Secor of Oswego, IL, Michael Secor of Oswego, IL; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Hawley, Steven Secor, Tony Secor all of AZ, Matt Barrow of Aurora, IL, Ryan Barrow, Shanna Barrow both of Oswego, IL; eight sisters, Shelby Jean Gates of Oswego, IL, Mary Ellen Secor of North Las Vegas, NV, Peggy Secor of Orlando, FL, Dorothy (David) Mutter of Orlando, FL, Deborah (Robert) Twait of Millington, IL, Marcia (Tom) Lewis of Sandwich, IL, Barb (John) Colvin of TX, Patricia (Carl) McCray of Blue Springs, MO; several nieces and nephews; two aunts, Dorothy Friebele of Oswego, IL, Inez Tregillus of TN; mother-in-law, Maureen Detzler; brothers-in-law, Roger Corwin of Hicksville, OH, James K. (Judy) Detzler of Oswego, IL and his beloved pets, KC, Charley, Sam, Libby, and Bernie the Bird.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jacqueline Corwin; brother, James E. Secor; and father-in-law, King Detzler.

 Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2003 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the McKEOWN-DUNN FUNERAL HOME, LTD at 210 S. Madison St. in Oswego, IL.
