BALLINGER Juanita "Jess" Jessee Juanita "Jess" Jessee Ballinger, 79, of Lighthouse Point, Florida peacefully passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008, after a brief illness. A native of Toledo, Ohio she had lived in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island before settling in Ft. Lauderdale in 1969. Known for her zest for life, work ethic and love of all animals, Jess was employed in the medical field for many years in Toledo and Florida and most recently employed at Acacia Animal Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents, Habron and Ollie Mae (McCroskey) Jessee; husband, J. Thomas Ballinger; brothers, Hubert, Vernon; nephew, Thomas Jessee. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Jessee; sisters, Carolyn (Richard) Friess, Sharon Marquette; children, Elizabeth Milana and Robert Ballinger; grandson, Michael Milana; aunt Betty Gatton; sister-in-law, Mary Boulis; nieces and nephews, Terry (Jeannie) Jessee, Toby Friess, Tammy Friess and Richard Garcia, Scott (Beth) Jessee, Mike (Debbie) Jessee, Vince (Evette) Jessee, Juanita Roy, Ginger (Jim) Howard and many great nieces and nephews.

She will also be sadly missed by many neighbors, friends and co-workers in Florida. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, where visitation will begin at noon and continue until services begin at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
