Obituary - Kate Lee (Collins) Bump
Kate Lee Bump, 79, Kansas City, KS, died Monday, November 24, 1997, at
the Shawnee Mission Med. Ctr. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday,
November 26, at the Maple Hill Funeral Home; burial will be in the Maple
Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Maple Hill
Chapel.
Mrs. Bump was born in St. Charles, VA, and had lived in Kansas City, KS, for
the last 13 years. She had lived previously in Indianapolis, IN. Kate was a
homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 111. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Bump, in 1984. Survivors include
daughter, Ann Lutjen, Merriam, KS, daughter, Jean DeSeure, Kansas City, KS,
daughter, Evelyn Rhodes, Glady WVA; stepdaughter, Juanita Shouse, Parsons,
KS, stepdaughter, Lou Bump, Parsons, KS, stepdaughter, Kathy Bump, Overland
Park, KS; sisters, Kila Addington, Kingsport, Tenn. and Alice Sadler,
Liberty, MO; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five
great-great-grandchildren.
