Kayutah "Kay" Miller, 89, a life time Durant area resident passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 at her home in Duncan. She moved to Duncan 4 years ago to live with her daughter and her family.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 27 in Highland Cemetery at Durant, Oklahoma with Reverend Charles Loyd officiating. Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Kay was born January 28, 1926 at Cypress, Oklahoma the daughter of J. B. and Annie Mae (Howard) Andis. She graduated high school at Blue, Oklahoma in 1944. She and Leman Miller were married in Sherman, Texas on August 7, 1947 and Leman preceded her in death on March 22, 2003.

She was a Charter member of the New Hope Nazarene Church in Durant, Oklahoma. Kay loved to sew, cook and take care of children. Kay and Leman thoroughly enjoyed their time babysitting nieces and nephews whom they loved as their own. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Natoma Hooper, Mary Loftis and LaWanda Heil.

Survivors include her daughter Leah Mulkey and her husband Ron of Duncan, Oklahoma; grandchildren Greg Mulkey and his wife, Jennifer of Edmond, Oklahoma, Alissa Hemphill and her husband Patrick of Duncan, Curtis Mulkey and his fiancee Bailey Wagner of Norman and Meridith Mulkey of Duncan, Oklahoma; great grandsons Max and Kael Mulkey of Edmond; her brother C.B. Andis and his wife Linda of Durant; four sisters: June Devereaux, Melba Graham, Shelba Hammonds all of Durant and Virginia Hansen and her husband J.W. of Mesquite, Texas. A sister-in-law JoAnn Hartwell and her husband Porter, Bethany Oklahoma. Many special nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
