Worley, Kenneth Neal
Mr. Worley, 65 of Concord died Sunday, May 16th at Carolinas Medical
Center-University.
Born in Washington County, Virginia August 18, 1938, Richard was the son of
Winifred Wilson Worley and the late Charlie C. Worley.
Mr. Worley had been an area resident since 1979 and had been employed as a
trucker with Overnight Transportation for 19 years, and for 27 years with
Yellow Freight. Richard was a member of Local 71 and was a shop steward for
Yellow Freight Road Drivers. Mr. Worley had also received the truckers'
Million Mile Award. He was a loving husband and father.
Besides his mother, Richard is survived by his wife, Kathy Kearns Worley;
sons, Petty Officer 1st. Class Donald W. Worley ( USN.) stationed at
Virginia Beach, VA., Kenneth Neal Worley, II of Charlotte; step-son, Brian
Goad of Fredericksburg, VA; brother, Charles Raymond Worley of Danville, VA;
sister, Nancy Worley Martin of Danville.
Services will take place on Tuesday, May 18th at 3:00 PM at Northwest
Baptist Church, Trinity Church Rd, Concord with Reverend Ed Hall,
officiating.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Northwest Baptist Church, 3500
Trinity Church Road, Concord, NC 28027.
