WISHMIRE, LARRY ALLEN - age 69, of Jacksboro, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Cumberland Village Nursing Home.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam with the 40th artillery, 199th Combat Infantry Brigade as a Howitzer cannoneer. He loved to fish and watch NASCAR races with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wishmire of Friendsville.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Miller of Jacksboro; mother, Catherine Cheek of Avon, IN; step mother. Bonnie Wishmire; daughter, Julie Potter and husband Paul of Indianapolis; son, Daryl Miller and wife Stephanie of Loudon; brother, John Wishmire and wife Connie of Maryville; sister, Joni Baker of Florida; step sisters, Linda Whitehead, Pat Stephens, and Sharon Pelfrey; grandchildren, Allison Potter, Brian Potter, Daryl Miller and EJ Miller; and his loving dog, Smoky.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at New Life Church of Friendsville and will be followed by a private funeral service Wednesday, January 7th, at 5:00 p.m. at International Harbor Marina.
