Johnston, Lebert, age 62 of Union, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2004 at his residence.

He was a Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. Lebert retired as a Deputy Sheriff from the Montgomery County Sheriffs Department in 1994 and has been working for the past 6 years as a civilian security officer with the department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vandalia where he was involved with the Awanas Club. He was an avid supporter of Promise Keepers.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years: Pamela (Burchett) Johnston, sons and daughters-in-law: William Joseph and Mary Ellen Johnston of Huber Heights, David Edward and Georgette Hall of New Lebanon, Shane Michael Hall of Clayton, daughters and son-in-law: Patricia Ann and Darin Wion of West Milton, Candace Sue Hall of Phillipsburg, 13 grandchildren, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edward and Betty Burchett of Tipp City, numerous relatives & friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Vera Johnston.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 14 at the First Baptist Church of Vandalia (140 Elva Court) with Pastor Charles Betts officiating. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, envelopes will be provided.
