Letha Jacobson

Letha May Jacobson, 87, of Newport, died at Pacific Communities Hospital Thursday Oct. 26, 1989.

Mrs. Jacobson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma March 23, 1902 to Jessie and Elva Queen Holt.

Mrs. Jacobson had been a resident of Newport since 1946, moving here from Bend.

She had been a cook for 35 years at Mo's Restaurant, The Agate Beach Golf Course, and the Elks Lodge, retiring in 1970.

She married Churchill Jacobson in Newport June 28, 1972.

Mrs. Jacobson was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 2105 Auxiliary in Newport.

Survivors include her husband, Churchill "Jake" Jacobson; two daughters, Thelma Williams of Eugene and Fern Ramberg of Newport; a son, Frank Gilbert of Newport; a step-daughter, Gloria Jirel of Corvallis; a stepson, Robert of Albany; a sister, Edith White of Modesto, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Bateman Funeral Home in Newport. Interment was in the Eureka Cemetery, Newport.

Contributions in Mrs. Jacobson's memory may be made to the Newport Fire Department.

Bateman Funeral Home, Newport, was in charge of the arrangements.
