Obituary - Linda Lucille (Higgins) Russell
Linda Lucille "Linda Lou" Russell passed away July 23, 2009 at Wyoming
Medical Center, after a long and courageous battle with COPD, with
family at her bedside. She was born June 12, 1940 in Casper, WY to Irene
Teresa (Smith) and Norton Claxton Higgins. She was a life long resident
of Casper attending Casper area schools and graduated from Natrona
County High School. She married Larry Ray Russell and they later
divorced. Linda worked for El Mark O Lanes for a short time before
becoming employed by the N.C.S. D. as a cafeteria server. She was well
known by many of her students as "Grandma" and is well remembered by
them because she always gave them extra food. Linda loved to spend time
with her family and friends, especially her grandkids. She loved to
weave and was an avid outdoorsman.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons, Marty Dale and his companion Cheryl Fisher and Gregory Ray and his wife Stacy, all of Casper; 4 grandchildren, Kayla Thorne, and Donovan Russell of Casper and Brittney and Jarred Russell of Algonquin, IL and many good Friends.
At her request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
