MONROE — The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at the
Monroe Methodist Church for Loren Douglas Bowman of Monroe, formerly of
Eugene, who died July 17 at age 57. The family chose not to list the cause
of death.
He was born Nov. 15, 1952, in Lewistown, Mont., to Sam and Alice Larsen
Bowman. He married Victoria Spurgeon on April 6, 1991, in Monroe.
He served in the Navy in Vietnam from 1971 to 1974. He worked as an auto
mechanic and was director of the Monroe Food Bank for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Corina Edwards of Creswell,
Sammi Giron of Medford and Sunny Murray of Eugene; a son, David Roberts II
of Monroe; five brothers, Bob of Eugene, Don, Curtis and Sam, all of Monroe,
and Jeff of Winchester Bay; a sister, Mary Lou Maudlin of Monroe; and 16
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Junction City. Arrangements by
Andreason's Cremation & Burial Services in Springfield. Remembrances to the
Monroe Food Bank.
