Louise Fleenor Hilliard
Louise Fleenor Hilliard, a native of Bristol, Va., died Sept.5 following an
extended illness.
She was born April 5, 1923 to the late Blenda R. and Claud G. Fleenor. She
married James E. Hilliard in 1947, who preceded her in death.
Much of her adult life was spent in Winston-Salem, N.C .where she served as
a bridal consultant at Mother and Daughter Store for 20 years. .She moved to
Washington, N.C. in 1997and later to Williamston, N.C. in 2001 to be closer
to her family. In 2006, she moved to Southport, N.C.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who never met a stranger.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Nita Hilliard and William G.
Smith of Williamston; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael G. and Wendy
Hilliard of Southport; a brother, Rouse Fleenor and wife, Dot, of Bristol,
Va.; three granddaughters, Amanda Smith, Sarah Smith and Carmen Hilliard of
Southport, and two step-granddaughters, Nicole Finley and Christina
Del’Aquila.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 8, 2011
at Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends
from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M., prior to the service at the mausoleum.
