Lucinda Walker SUFFOLK, Va. Lucinda Ruth Cunningham Walker, 92, a resident of Lake Prince Woods, Suffolk, Va., died July 23, 2009, at Obici Hospital. Born in Abingdon, Va., she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Ida Minerva Hutton Cunningham and the widow of the late James Howard Walker. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Constantia Chapter of the DAR. She was formerly an art teacher at Bluff City High School in Sullivan County, Tenn.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Miley W. and Jean Walker of Suffolk; grandchildren, Marie Walker Bentley, Melissa Anne Walker, Christina Ruth Walker and Sarah Shelton Walker; brother, James Cunningham of Bristol Tennessee; and sisters, Ollie Fraley, Flora Bott and Lucille McCroskey, all of Abingdon, Va.

 A memorial service will be conducted Monday, July 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Portsmouth Room at Lake Prince Woods, by the Rev. Mary Henderson. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol Tennessee, by Mr. Gene Day. The family will receive friends at State Street Church of Christ, 713 W. State St., Bristol, Tenn., following the burial. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Lake Prince Woods retirement center, 100 Anna Goode Way, Suffolk, VA 23434.
