Obituary - Mary Louise (McChesney) Fleenor

Mary Louise Fleenor, 95, of Bristol, Tennessee passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016. She was born in Carroll County, VA on March 30, 1921, a daughter of the late Dr. William Wallace McChesney and Ottolene Morrissette McChesney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Warren "Doc" Fleenor, two sisters, Ottolene Browning and Virginia McKnight, and special friend, Don Evans, Sr.

She married in 1942 and spent her life making a home for her family and being very active in her church and community. She particularly enjoyed her vegetable garden and the flowers in her yard. Mrs. Fleenor was a member of Cold Spring Presbyterian Church and the Women’s Church Group. She also taught Sunday School for several years, and was a Regent of the D.A.R. for nine years. 

Mrs. Fleenor is survived by her daughters, Reba Bell of Charlotte, NC and Faye Martin and husband, Gary of Fort Mill, SC; three granddaughters, Courtney Martin, Susan Bell, and Lindsey Bell; and one grandson, Chad Martin and wife Kelly, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, 208 Cold Spring Church Road, Bristol, TN with Pastor Douglas LaPointe officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. 

Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the home, 127, Highway 44, Bristol, TN.
