Obituary - Mary Margaret (Ebrecht) Sims
Mary M. (Ebrecht) Sims, 79, St. Joseph, Mo., died Friday, July 25, 2003
at St. Joseph's Hope House after a brief illness.
Born April 22, 1924, in St. Joseph, where she was a lifelong resident.
On Nov. 25, 1940, she married Roland "Red" Sims, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sims worked as a service clerk at various stores for 45 years until
1988.
She was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church, an Avon Representative
for five years, an active member and past President of Northwest Missouri
Genealogical Society and very supportive of her family.
Survivors: daughter, Connie Sims; son, Ron Sims and wife, Carol; grandson,
Clint Sims; sister, Sarah Akers; brother, Wallace Ebrecht, all of St.
Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Maggie (Hughes)
Ebrecht.
Graveside service and interment: 9 a.m. Monday, Memorial Park Cemetery. The
family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today, Meierhoffer Family Funeral
Service, where friends may call after 12 noon today. The family suggests
