Obituary - Melissa (Hoffpauir) Fleming
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 1, 2015, at
12PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Melissa Fleming,
age 56, who died at 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2015 in Groesbeck,
Texas.
Entombment will be in St. John Mausoleum.
Reverend William Ruskoski, Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus
Catholic Church in Broussard will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick Fleming; her parents, Stephen
Hoffpauir and Cecilia Andis; daughter, Anna Fleming; son, Zachary Fleming;
three sisters, Susan Semmens and husband Robert, Stephanie Beckham
and husband Blake, Caris Hoffpauir and one brother, Jon Hoffpauir and his
wife Alice.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Cecil and Susan Andis and
Dorothy and WJ Hoffpauir.
Melissa was born on August 25, 1959 in Houston, Texas and was a resident of
Lafayette Louisiana for 20 years. She was a graduate of Louisiana State
University with a degree in Interior Design. Melissa enjoyed spending
time with her family, especially at her sister's ranch in Texas. Melissa
also really enjoyed driving to Lake Martin and taking in the scenery. She
was involved in many of her daughter's activities at Sacred Heart Academy.
She enjoyed her many years as a designer, working in both Lafayette and New
Orleans. She was a loving mother and friend and will be dearly missed by all
who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Fleming, Paul Fleming, Pat Morrow, Justin
Simpson, Jon Hoffpauir, Blake Beckham and Danny Douglass.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Bassett and Joshua Caffery.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's
DOWNTOWN location on Thursday October 1, 2015 from 10AM until the time of
service.
