Obituary - Myrna Arleen (Eklund) Davidson

Home

Myrna was born in Wichita Kansas. Her mother was a devout Christian who supported her daughter's education in Christianity. Myrna was very close to her only sibling, a brother who was about fifteen years older. Myra married Larry Davidson. They had two children, first a daughter, then several years later a son. For a while they moved frequently, from Kansas to Olympia, Washington and back to Kansas. She and Larry divorced.

Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren and her Christian faith. In her last seven years she lived with an elderly woman who was in her nineties to whom she acted as a companion. She loved to learn new things, and experience new places, especially islands. She endured great pain from deforming arthritis and had several operations but she did not complain. Unexpectedly, she died quietly in her sleep.

Her memorial was held on Nov. 3rd, 2009 at the Temple Baptist Church where she was a member. She was prepared and had made all of her own arrangements. Her body was taken to Kansas for internment with her mother at Virgil District Cemetery. She asked for her Memorial donations to be made to Operation Christmas Child/Samaritan's Purse in North Carolina. www.samaritanspurse.org/ezgive
