Obituary - Patrick Haisch
Pat Haisch, Harold, SD, died July 6, 2006, in Sioux Falls, SD. He was 64.
Pat Haisch was born October 30, 1941, in Wagner, SD, to Clayton and Dorris
(Amiotte) Haisch. He was raised in Martin and Pierre, SD. Following his high
school graduation, Pat began working with various construction projects
including the Oahe Dam project in the early 1960's.
He was united in marriage to Betty Jacobs on December 22, 1962, in Ft.
Pierre, SD. The couple lived in Pierre and Ft. Thompson, and then lived in
various communities throughout the US where Pat continued working in
commercial construction as project supervisor. He retired in 1992. After
working in Arkansas, California and Oregon, Pat and Betty returned to South
Dakota in 1998.
He enjoyed fishing at the Missouri River. In his free time, Pat liked
tinkering with various small projects and enjoyed rebuilding and fixing
things.
Kind and good-hearted, Pat loved people and maintained a warm sense of
humor. His compassionate and giving spirit will be forever cherished.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Betty of Harold, SD;
daughter, Tina Haisch and her partner Sue Carter, Sacramento, CA and their
son, Dakota Carter Haisch; brother, Carroll Haisch and his wife, Linda,
Pierre, SD; Pat's beloved extended family and many cousins, nieces and
nephews. His parents and a son, Monty, preceded him in death.
Committal rites will be held in the Scotty Phillips Cemetery, Ft. Pierre,
SD.
