CLARK, RAY L. Ray L. Clark, 82, of Bristol, Va., passed away, Monday, Dec. 17, 2001 , at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Ray was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a Pearl Harbor survivor, a member of VFW Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975 and American Legion 145.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Farris Clark; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Rex Lawson of Bristol; two sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Claudia Clark of Bristol and Dennis Clark of Wake Forest, NC; four granddaughters, Casey Clark, Meredith Lawson and Whitney Lawson, all of Bristol and Tara Lawson of Woodstock, Va.; and two brothers, Bob Clark of Clearwater, Fla., and Fred Clark of Bristol.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, in Mountain View Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Orlando Salazar officiating, assisted by Amy Yeary. Entombment will follow in Mountain View Mausoleum. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975. Pallbearers will be three nephews, Fred Sparkman, Zane Myers and Tony Farris, also Bob Tate, Roger Smith, Pete Booher, Wiley Wright, Bob Harrison, Oscar Broome, David Paine and Eddie Barker. Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer Cross, Curley Cole and members of VFW Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Weaver Funeral Home.
