DIED IN SIOUX CITY HOSPITAL DECEMBER 29
 
Funeral services were held for Robert Charles Puntney, 37, at the First Congrational church Monday afternoon. Rev. Aden Wild officiated.
 
Mr. Puntney died at St. Joseph's hospital in Sioux City December 29 from injuries recieved in an auto accident December 26 northeast of here on  Highway 12.
 
Mr. Puntney was born in the East Bow community August 12, 1917, the son of Willie Bennett and Julia Puntney. Puntney lived in Hartington most of his life. He entered the U.S. Army February 10, 1941 and was discharged October 19, 1945. He married Viola Margaret Woodward in Hartington May 24, 1943. He farmed until 1953 when he moved into town. He was employed by the Nebraska Department of Roads and Irrigation.
 
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Judy and Denise; six brothers, Edward, Floyd and William of Laurel; Ralph of Randolph and Raymond and Wendell of Hartington; three sisters, Mrs. Lucillie Heitman of Beldon, Mrs. Helen Vock of Cleridge and Miss Viola Puntney of John Day, Oregon.
