Obituary - Robert Glenn Pruett

Robert Glenn Pruett, 77, of Bloomington, died 9:21 p.m. Sunday at the University Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born March 12, 1934, in Monroe County, he was the son of Elsworth and Grace (Davis) Pruett. He was a 1953 graduate of Stinesville High School.

He retired from General Motors with 35 years of service and was a committeeman with the UAW in Indianapolis for 25 years. He was a member of the Nazarene Church and Lions Club, both in Stinesville. He was an outstanding basketball player for the Quarry Lads and coached Little League Baseball in Ellettsville. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Rosalee Pruett; one daughter, Karen Figg (Larry); two sons, Brian Pruett (Carla) and Dana Pruett; very dear nephew, Robert Stubblfield; two stepdaughters, Robbin Cannon (Michael) and Tracy Robinson (Stew); grandchildren, Morgan Pendergast, Isala, Mekhi, Amani and Amire Robinson, and Josh, Jessica, Bobby, Amanda, Dustin, Nathanial; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville with Brother John Baker officiating. Burial will be at Chambersville Cemetery.
