Bedford-Robert Opal “Bob” Lake 74, of Fayetteville died at 12:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at his residence.
Born May 25, 1938 in Lawrence County he was the son of Opal and Lucille (Parker) Lake. He had worked for the City of Bedford, and was a member of the VFW

Survivors include five children: Karen Parker of Springville, David Miller of Bedford, Randy Lake of Bedford, Diane Hanners of Bedford, Rosella Sons of Bloomington; seven step children: Bonnie Hughes of Bedford, Jane Sykes of Mitchell, Carolyn Harrison of Bedford, Merle Hughes of Bedford, Vera Glasgow of Madison, and Marvetta Baker of Bedford; eight sisters: Marilyn Baker of Springville, Evelyn Morgan of Bloomington, Ruby Swartz of Terre Haute, Kathy Terry of Fayetteville, Theresa McGuire of Fayetteville, Karen Speer of Bedford, Pam Isom of Bloomington, and Paula Ford of Lafayette; one brother: Jerry Lake of Mitchell; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Donnie Watson, one brother, Eugene Lake, two sisters Kay and Debra.
