Obituary - Ronald Lee Harris
Ronald Lee Harris, 67, of South Bend, IN passed away at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday,
August 11, 2015 at Hospice House. He was born on August 23, 1947 in LaPorte,
IN to Edgar G. and Irene (Salyer) Harris.
Ronald is survived by his children, Brian L. Harris of Nashville, TN, Lynn
(Jim) Fisher of Bolingbrook, IL, Michael O. Harris of South Bend, IN and
Ethan A. Harris of South Bend, IN; three grandchildren, Gavin, Trevor and
Faith Fisher, and his mother, Irene Harris of South Bend, IN. He was
preceded in death by his son, Rodney Harris, father, Edgar G. Harris and
sister, Donna J. Harbaugh.
Ronald was a lifelong resident. He retired as a machinist at Honeywell after
twenty-five plus years of service. He was a member of Grace United Methodist
Church and enjoyed woodworking.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Grace
United Methodist Church, 3012 S. Twyckenham Drive, South Bend, IN. Graveside
services and burial will follow at Porter Rae Cemetery, North Liberty, IN.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at church.
Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family
with arrangements.
