Obituary - Roy Lee Brewer
Roy Lee Brewer, 70, a member of the Smith Creek Community, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at his home.
He was born to the late Clinton Brewer and Bessie Sorah Brewer on July 21, 1943, in Scott County, Va. He retired from Bristol Compressors where he held several positions and most recently worked in maintenance.
He accepted Christ as his Savior and attended Limehill Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruth Lynn Brewer; two brothers, Walker Brewer, and Woody Brewer; and two sisters, Mary Vineyard, and Virgie Brewer. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Helen Elizabeth Murray Brewer; son, Jeff Daniel Brewer and fiancee, Jamie Leigh Roark of Bristol, Tenn.; three daughters, Sarah Fletcher and husband, Brad of Kingsport, Tenn., Lea Ann Laballe and husband, Clayton of Woodbridge, Va., and Jennifer Brewer Rooney and husband, David of Bristol, Va.; two brothers, Fred Brewer of Bristol, Va., and Tom Brewer of Abingdon, Va.; sister, Nellie Hall of Bristol, Va.; sister-in-law, Gail Brewer of Bristol, Va.; eight grandchildren, Noble Fletcher, Dakota Fletcher, Christian Laballe, Marguerite Laballe, Chauncey Rooney, Grace Rooney, Josh Brewer, and Tommy Potter; caregiver, Ethel Marie Plemons, and her daughter, Tammy Potter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
According to his wishes Mr. Brewer will be cremated and his family will
hold a service at his home on Large Hollow Road at a later date. The
family of Roy Lee Brewer is being cared for by Farris Funeral Service and
