 NORFOLK - Rufus B. Turner, 81, of the 7000 block of Kirby Crescent, passed away Dec. 25, 2006, at a local hospital.
 
 Born in Norfolk to the late James and Blanche Turner, he was a retired supervisor with the Naval Air Rework Facility. Mr. Turner was a member of Park Place Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Corinthian Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite Bodies. He was on the directors staff of the Khedive Temple of the Shrine and a member of the Issac Walton League.
 
 He is survived by his wife, Janet G. Turner; a sister, Dorothy Winslow and husband Bill; a brother, Lewis Turner and wife Kay; sister-in-law, Sylvia Turner; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Balance; and three brothers, Graham, Robert and Charles Turner.
  A funeral with Masonic rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with Dr. Terry Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Park Place Baptist Church.
