Sandra "Sandy" Hatton, 69, Columbus

Mrs. Sandra S. "Sandy" Hatton, 69, of Columbus, formerly of Seymour, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital

Sandy was born in Seymour, May 29, 1939, the daughter of the late Lawrence "Bud" and Violet Rich Ruddick. On June 30, 1957, she married William D. "Bill" Hatton in Seymour.

She worked for her son Greg as a secretary at the Seymour NAPA.

Sandy was a wonderful wife and loving mother as she was all about her family. She loved being with them always and enjoyed the special time with each one of them, especially shopping. One of Sandy's hobbies was collecting antique and bridal dolls. An Elvis Presley fan, she loved to listen to his music and was fortunate to see him in concert many times.

Sandy is survived by her husband; two daughters, Cindy (Denny) Oakes and Stacie (Todd) Perry; a son, Greg (Marcia) Hatton; a brother, Don (Carolyn) Ruddick; a very special mother figure, Ella Mae Hollowell; nine grandchildren, Dustin Crussel, Kyle Muncy, Demi Oakes, Ryan Hatton, Tyler Hatton, Bryce Hatton, Erika Hatton Perry, Kristy Perry and Jerimey Perry; and three stepgreat-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be conducted at Voss Chapel in Seymour at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Bruce E. Cochran and the Rev. Roy Hendershot officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial and a Voss dove release will be at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.

The family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or First Baptist Church in Seymour, IN 47274.
