Thomas Sugg

Thomas Edward "Tommy" Sugg, 70, of Evansville, died of cancer Thursday at his home.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and had served as deacon. He was also a volunteer for Deaconess Hospital.

Surviving are his wife, Freda; three daughters, Connie Hogberg of Henderson, Ky., Janet Dave of Okeechobee, Fla., and Mary Beth Bean of Stockbridge, Ga.; three stepdaughters, Karen Reynolds of Indianapolis and Ann Spaulding and Nancy Smith, both of Evansville; two sons, Michael of Henderson and Greg of Slaughters, Ky.; three sisters, Wilma Staples of Mesa, Ariz., Peggy Gish of Henderson, and Brenda Collie of Morganfield, Ky.; two brothers, Billy of Indianapolis and Kenny of Smith Mills, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home Henderson Chapel, the Rev. Dennis Plank officiating, with burial in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess Ohio Valley Hospice Care or the American Cancer Society.
