Funeral services for Thomas Farley Morrow, 44, of 304 College, who died in a hospital Wednesday, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Shannon Memorial Chapel with burial in Oakwood.

Morrow, from his hospital bed, recently gave his daughter, Barbara in marriage to Marvin Eugene Bates of Fort Worth in a ceremony performed by Rev. James Payne of Cleburne.

Morrow, who had been blind since he was 18, was a salesman for the Lighthouse for the Blind since moving here from Wichita Falls 12 years ago. Two consecutive fireworks explosions claimed his eyes. One eye was lost on Christmas 1935 and the other the following Easter, both times as firecrackers exploded in his face. Two times he escaped death in auto accidents. The first was in 1950 when he was injured seriously as a taxicab in which he was riding was involved in a two-car wreck. In 1952, Morrow was hit by a truck as he crossed the Jacksboro Highway but was only slightly injured.

He was a native of San Saba and a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a member and former director of the Texas Federation of the Blind. Surviving are his wife; two other daughters, Mrs. John C. Reynolds of Stockton, Cal., and Miss Allie Florence Morrow of the home address; his mother, Mrs. C.O. Riley of San Bernardino, Cal., two sisters, Mrs. Carl Lowery of Stockton and Mrs. Robert C. Brown of Graham; three brothers, Charles F. Morrow of Downey, Cal., A.C. Morrow of Wichita Falls and Oscar S. Morrow of Fort Worth, and two grandsons.
