RASNICK¸ Thomas Jere, age 77, of Kettering, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Jere was born to John and Eunice Rasnick on October 24, 2017 in Dayton, OH.

He graduated from Wilbur Wright High School, graduated from Sinclair in 1974 with a degree in Quality Control Engineering and also attended Wright State University. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Jere worked for Globe Industries and retired from Lockheed-Martin after 25 years of distinguished service. He was a member of the American Association of Quality Control, the American Legion Post 598, and the St. Mary’s Boat Club.

Some of Jere’s most favorite pastimes were when he was playing a good game of Domino’s or taking a relaxing sail on a beautiful lake with the wind blowing in his face. He took great joy in opening his grandson’s minds to the beauty of the wind and sea around him. Jere loved to enjoy a great concert at the Fraze with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pat Rasnick and family friend Kristen Ream. Jere is survived by his daughter, Jen (Brian) Lee of Plain City, OH; his loved grandsons, Mason and Colin; brother, Dick (Rita) Rasnick; nieces, Rebecca, Debbie, Karen, and Elaina; and best friends, Susan and Dennis Ream and their daughter Meredith.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Family will greet friends following the service until 1pm at the funeral home. Burial at Calvary cemetery.
