Wilma Walker

Wilma Walker, 89, of Washington, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018.

She was born in Harrison Township on March 19, 1928, to Chris and Elizabeth (Kinsella) Doyle.

She graduated from Glendale High School and had worked at Penney's catalog department. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sons, Steve (Maryann) Walker of Lee Summit, Missouri, Paul (Patty) Walker of Villa Hills, Kentucky, and Mark Walker of Guyman, Oklahoma; daughter Jill Walker of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Vincent Walker on Feb. 9, 2002, whom she married Feb. 1, 1947; son John Walker on Dec. 25, 2016; three brothers, Ralph Doyle, Bob Doyle and Chris Doyle; six sisters, Rose Zinkan, Rita Mullinix, Cleo Downey, Ellen Disser, Eula Tuell and Verna Klingle; and daughter-in-law, Clydean Walker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
