Dorthy Andis Harmon, 92, Noblesville Ind. (formerly of Scottsburg and Evansville), died December 29 2013.

She was born June 7 1921, Scottsburg IN to Leslie Andis & Hazel Hostettler Andis. Graduated from Scottsburg High School in l939. Active in many worthy organizations including Founder, Charter Member & Honorary President of Altrusa International of Evansville; Opti-Mrs of Evansville; YWCA of Evansville; Evansville Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She had many interests including the love of tole painting, gardening, and being a true friend to so many whose lives she touched. She was a loving wife and homemaker

Surviving are daughters: Arlene C White (Terry), Carmel IN, Teresa Jane Schmidt (Bill), Beech Grove IN; son: Dr. Sam Harmon (Michelle), Noblesville IN; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. Samuel Harmon; and a brother Thomas Andis.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday January 3 2014 at Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home. Visitation is 11 ti 1 p.m. Friday January 3, 2014, Stewart & Hoagland Funeral Home with John Lowry officiating. Burial is in Scottsburg Cemetery.
