1) Wife (1) of Reason Miles Scott: Nancy Jones - born 11 Mar 1841 IN; died 01 Mar 1873 Martin Co, IN; buried Williams Cemetery, Martin Co, IN; daughter of Charles Jones and Barbara Cruise.

3) We have a copy of Mary Jane and Reason's marriage license.

4) From service and pension records that we viewed in the National Archives:
Reason was a private in Co B, 22nd Indiana Infantry during the Civil War.  He was drafted 21 Sep 1864 and was discharged 5 Jul 1865 at Louisville, KY.  He is listed as 5'4", fair complexion, black hair, black eyes.  His pension mentions the following problems: varicose veins, heart disease, disease of rectum, rheumatism, chronic diarrhea and running of bowels.  He died 21 Apr 1913.
