My Aunt Bess was an amazing woman. Living alone
in her house in Jonesville, VA -
recovering from a
hip replacement in her late 80s - an intoxicated burglar entered her home,
came to her bedside, and tried to steal her purse.
She wasn't having
any of that. She took her metal bed pan and crowned him on his head and
scared the pee-waddling out of him.
He fled for his
life, because she would have taken a few more swings at him if he hadn't.
That's a story I'd
live to preserve, because it just about sums up who she was!
