1) On 20 Aug 1816, John Fleenor was named guardian of Christiana, Elizabeth, Susannah, John, Isaac, Abraham, James, Nancy V and Maryann Andis, children of Matthias Andis, deceased. Bond $2000, sureties John Shutters and Abraham Gobble.

2) On 20 Jun 1820, Peter Minnick was named guardian of Isaac, Abraham, James, Nancy and Mary Andis, orphans of Matthias Andis, deceased. Bond $500 surety Thomas Fulkerson (original entry).

3) Wife of Abraham Andis: Mary A "Polly" Moor - born 26 Jun 1804 Washington Co, VA (Bible entry); died 08 May 1887 Lee Co, VA (Bible entry) ; buried Maness Cemetery, Lee Co, VA - see tombstone photo below.

4) We have various documents regarding land transactions by Matthias Andis (Abraham's father) and his heirs. They include purchase, sale and distribution of land in Washington Co, VA. These are very important documents to our research, as they conclusively tie Matthias and his children together.

5) We have a transcription of the sale of land between brothers Isaac and Abraham Andis - dated 24 Jan 1839.

6) We have copies of property deeds of Abraham Andis - dated 18 August 1857.

7) We have copies of a homestead deed of Abraham Andis - dated 02 August 1871.

8) Documents from an 1859 lawsuit that Abraham filed againt John Arey. It was settled in 1867, and Abraham lost the suit.
