Deposition #2

In the matter of the pension claim No. 306.442 of Isabelle Sipes as widow of Henry Sipes late a member of Co F 1st Indiana heavy Artilery 21 Reg Ind Vols.  On this day 20 day of May 1885 before me David D Gore a justice of the peace in and for said county personally appeared the aforesaid Isabelle Sipes the claimant aforesaid aged 38 years a resident of Martin County Indiana whose P.O. address is Keck's Church Martin Co Ind who being duly sworn declare in relation to said matter as follows:  that she is the widow of aforesaid Henry Sipes that she has made diligent enquiry and has used all the means in her power to obtain the testimony of commisioned officers of the soldier's company having personal knowledge of the facts required and also the testimony of the surgeon or assistant surgeon of his regiment showing treatment therefore while in the service but have been unable to furnish any part of the testimony required but has furnished the testimony of other persons having personal knowledge of the facts required which is all that she can furnish at the present time.
