She was my Dad's favorite and she spoiled him. I remember her making him dumplings and he peered into the pot and said, "Mmmm, Aunt Mamie's dumplings". She also came to our house the night he came back from the war and hugged him and cried and cried. I didn't understand that, as I was only 5, but I realized later that she was glad he made it back alive. I also remember Bill. He was also very sweet. As a child I did not know who he was, but he was always quietly standing by, just listening. 5) We have a funeral card, obituary and death notice, funeral bill and death certificate for Mamie; cause of death: arteriosclerotic heart disease, congestive heart failure, subacute bacterial endocarditis. We also have the attendance registry from Mamie's funeral. 6) We have recollections of various family members regarding their relationship with Mamie and William Fielder. William and Mamie were clearly loved, respected, admired and highly regarded by their descendants. There is such a clear pattern of family, and all it represents. Their consistent display of respect and regard for their ancestors resonates loudly throughout this Fielder line.
