Lawrence FARMER
Lawrence J. "Jack" Farmer Lawrence J. "Jack" Farmer, 84, of DuRoss Heights, New Castle, DE, died on Sunday May 28, 2000 at his residence.
Mr. Farmer was a coal miner in St. Charles, VA for 17 years and then worked as a welder for the Chrysler Corp., Newark, for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed repairing lawnmowers for neighbors and friends.
Mr. Farmer is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geneva E. (Lanningham) Farmer; sons, James C. of Laurel, Jerry L. of New Castle and David F. of Townsend; siblings, Joe of Tucson, AZ, Odette Atkins of Hampton, VA and Peggy Lou Stockham of Chicago, IL; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held at 11:45 a.m. Wed., May 31st at Gracelawn Memorial Park Chapel, 2220 N. DuPont Hwy., Minquadale, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
