FLEENOR, JENNINGS W. JOHNSON CITY, TN -- Jennings W. Fleenor died
Sunday, March 4, 2001, in Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in
Bristol, VA, a son of the late Irby Vernon and Ida Mae Hobbs Fleenor. Mr.
Fleenor was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had been an auditor and later an
accountant with Pet Dairies, Inc. He attended Piney Flats United Methodist
Church. Mr. Fleenor was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Fleenor. He
is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ada Bernice Fleenor; a brother, Gene
Fleenor of Knoxville, TN; a nephew, Lloyd Fleenor of Limestone, TN; and a
sister-in-law, Beulah Edmonds of Scooba, Mississippi; and several other
nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 8 o'clock
Monday evening in Oakley-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mack Houston,
Rev. Carol Wilson and Rev. Paul Lilly officiating. The family will receive
friends from 6 until 7:45 Monday evening prior to the service. The committal
service and burial will be conducted at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at
Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ray Hicks, Lloyd
Courtney, James Harmon, Jimmy Fleenor, Billy Joe Lewis, Donald Durham, Bill
Kee and Marvin Slaughter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
sent to Piney Flats United Methodist Church, 225 Methodist Church Road,
Piney Flats, TN 37686, to the American Heart Association, 208 Sunset Drive,
Suite 521, Johnson City, TN 37604 or to the Johnson City EMS or 911
