Ruth Powell
BRISTOL, Va. – Ruth R. Powell, age 79, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2005,
in the Wellmont Hospice House.
She was a lifelong resident of Bristol and was the daughter of the late Dea
and Ida Faust Richard.
Mrs. Powell was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, William E. "Bill" Powell; one daughter, Julie
E. Powell, of Bristol Virginia; one sister-in-law, Lois P. Walling, of
Bristol Virginia; three nephews, Challen Walling, Mark Walling and Jeff
Walling; several cousins; and good friends.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in the Mountain View
Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, with Dr. David Wadsworth officiating. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Central Presbyterian Church,
301 Euclid Ave.; Bristol, VA 24201; Bristol Life Saving Crew, 1601 Euclid
