Born May 20, 1927, in Pike County, she was the daughter of Frank and Ada (Dixon) Dunn. She attended Petersburg schools and was a former employee of Armour. She was a member of Faithway Baptist Church.

Bertha Jean Harris, 81, of Washington, died at 7:04 a.m. Wednesday at Daviess Community Hospital.

Born May 20, 1927, in Pike County, she was the daughter of Frank and Ada (Dixon) Dunn. She attended Petersburg schools and was a former employee of Armour. She was a member of Faithway Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Debbie Harris of Vincennes, Rebecca Whitehead and Armetia Harris, both of Washington; grandchildren, Bo Eller, Jarret Whitehead, Ashley Harris, Shaina Russell, Brittany Folsom and Emma Lee Whitehead; and sisters, Evelyn Cummings and Phyllis Brock, both of Washington.

Her husband, William H. Harris, died May 15, 1990. One son, Mark Alan Dunn; one sister, Gladys Huff; and brothers, William Dunn, Bert Purdue and Fred Purdue, are also deceased.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Gill Chapel, with Bro. Steve Dayton officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
