Ray Walter "Bill" Kaylor, died Saturday. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to
7 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 7 p.m.
in the funeral home chapel. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Holston View Cemetery.

Ray Walter (Bill) Kaylor
Ray Walter "Bill" Kaylor, born on November 12, 1913 in Mendota, VA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at his home surrounded by family and life time friends.
He was a quiet gentleman with a sharp mind. He had a sense of humor that appeared when least expected. For most of his life he wrote the days weather on his calendar. He loved to garden and do wood working projects. As a young man he helped to build Kaylors Chapel Church which he attended until his death. His favorite thing to do was study his Bible, having read it through 3-4 times during his life. He loved to speak of Moses and told the story to anyone who would listen. He retired from Tennessee Eastman Company in 1975 after 40 years.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Edna Mae Kaylor; parents, Kate and Coy Kaylor; brothers, Roy and Ralph Kaylor.
He is survived by his daughter, Joann Bowen and husband Jack "Pete"; sons, Paul Kaylor and wife Roseanne, Robert "Bob" Kaylor, and wife Martha; grandchildren, Lynn (Bowen) Kistner and husband David, Tony Bowen, Sharon (Bowen) Lawwill and husband Stephen, Terry Kaylor, Kendall Kaylor, and wife Beth, Kelli Kaylor, Dawn Kaylor, Brian Kaylor, David Kaylor and wife Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Brandi Alvis, Jennifer Alvis, Eli Kistner, Lauren Bowen, Rachael Bowen, Sheena (Lawwill) Newell and husband Griff; great-great grandchildren, twins of J. Alvis, Logan and Lucinda Brewster, Jayden Newell; sisters, Edna Mae Bishop, Ruby Kitzmiller, Tommy Fannon and husband Joe; sisters- in- law, Bonnie Kaylor, Jean Kaylor; brother, James (Jim) Kaylor;
Calling hours will be Tuesday (October 30, 2007) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with eulogies by Bill DeBoard and Harry Rhoton. Music will be provided by Kaylor Chapel Church Choir.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday (October 31, 2007) at Holston
View Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Hunter and the Men of Kaylor
Chapel Church. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the
cemetery by 10:55 a.m.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Papaws care givers, Barbara
Summey, Vena Manis, Dr. Funke, Randy Hunter and Dr. Jeff Vaughn.
