Claudia M. (Andis-Ghetia) Caraway, 54, died Sunday Feb. 26. Services will be 10 a.m. today at Grace Church of the Nazarene. Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Caraway was a Registered Nurse and degreed industrial hygienist. She graduated from Oklahoma State University Technical Institute College of Nursing in Oklahoma City, attended the University of Oklahoma and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. As a third-generation R.N., she served for more than 20 years in emergency, critical and cardiac care units in central Oklahoma and northeastern Ohio. She also was specialized in occupational medicine, managed the medical unit at Oklahoma City's General Motors assembly plant and was an industrial safety and hygienist for Oklahoma City's UAW/GM Health and Safety Division.

Before she retired, she combined her knowledge of patient care and industrial medicine during more than a decade of service as a nurse-case manager coordinating the delivery of specialized medical care following OSHA-recordable incidents resulting from on-the-job exposure to workplace hazards.

Mrs. Caraway was preceded in death by her father Emory G. Andis and infant brother Johnny Andis.
Mrs. Caraway is survived by her husband Mark Caraway; stepdaughter Michelle Caraway; daughters Amanda and Andrew Ghetia; mother Helen M. Andis, R.N.; sisters Lynda G. Jones and Elizabeth F. Parnell and husband Jimmy Ray; brothers Emory G. Andis and wife Cissy and Paul A. Andis and wife Sandra; granddaughter Ashton M. Caraway; nephews Bryan Parnell and wife Megan and Ryan Jones; niece Lacy Johannessen; and great-niece Sara Jones.
