David Overheul
MORTON -- David Theodore Overheul, 65, of 67 Hickory Ridge Drive, died at 1:25 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2004, at his residence. He was formerly of Phoenix, Ariz.
Cremation will be accorded. No services are planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to the OSF Hospice, Peoria, or the American Cancer Society.
Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is handling arrangements.
Overhuel was born on March 30, 1939, in Decatur to Menno F. and Irene C. Fitzgerald Overheul.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Overheul of Chicago and Christopher Overheul of Sacramento, Calif.; one daughter, Julia (Rodger) Blick of Morton; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Sally Spivey of Jacksonville, Fla., and Andrea (Ron) Vernick of Helotes, Texas; and three brothers, Menno F. "Bud" (Beverly) Overheul of Webster Groves, Mo., and Richard G. (Della) Overheul and J. Michael (Sheila) Overheul both of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by one son, Mark, and one brother.
He had worked as a construction laborer in the Decatur area and later did remodeling work in Phoenix.
He was a United States Army veteran.
He attended the Church on the Street in Phoenix.
He was a NASCAR fan.
