Obituary - Hubert Earl "Doc, Pawpaw" Kilby
Hubert (Doc) Earl Kilby "Pawpaw" Born August 26, 1925 passed away peacefully on
March 8, 2010 in Danville, IN with his loving family by his side at the age of
84.
He was born in Marion, VA and grew up in the Salem/Roanoke area. Mr. Kilby was a house mover and was employed by William R. Paytram in VA and Edwards House Movers of Simpsonville, KY. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II and is a member of Eternal Life Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Kilby; parents Ollie and Edgar Kilby; two sisters Red Robertson and Elizabeth Slusher; two brothers, Henry and James Kilby; two grandchildren Austin and MaKayla Damron.
He is survived by a son Bobby (Becky) Damron; daughter Dottie (T.J.) Brown; grandchildren Tommy (Joyce) Brown, Robert (Carrie) Damron, David (Kara) Brown, Chistina Brown, Brian (Jami) Damron, Kimberly Brown, John (Amanda) Damron and Samantha Damron; great-grandchildren Michael Brown, Kristen Brown, Katelyn Damron, Justin Damron, John Damron Jr., Noah Brown, Jackson Damron, Reagan Brown and Dylan Damron; brother Edgar (Punny) Kilby; sisters Peggy Pearcy and Ruby Wimmer.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday March 12, 2010 at Conkle Funeral Home Avon Chapel with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday March 11. Burial will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery.
